CURATED FAVORITES

We all have our go-to places to shop whether in store or online. Things we legitimately recommend. Here is my list. I have used all of these and really love their products - everyday and art related. I try really hard to find US companies, or at least Canadian, or European companies that make solid products.

This list will grow as I find more products and are not in any particular order.

I just became an Amazon affiliate. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. I hope to use these additional funds to help pay for future college tuitions. :)

Encaustics.
I use R & F handmade paints encaustic. This is their website.
https://www.rfpaints.com/encaustic
It's a great source for encaustic wax and pigments and they're made in the USA. Not to mention their colors are gorgeous!
I personally use the basic encaustic wax for my pieces. But I've used the colors in the past.
Here's. my affiliate link to their basic  1 lb. bag of encaustic wax.

Pencils.
Simple #2 pencils made in the USA are very hard to find. Ticonderoga's used to be made here, but are no longer. I found these USA Gold Premium American Pencils that are made in Tennessee. They have imported parts, but are made of American wood and assembled here. I usually buy these in bulk because my kids keep losing pencils.

Notebooks.
Roaring Spring Marble Composition Notebooks are beautiful. Classic marbling and proudly made in the USA. Again, I usually buy in bulk for school, but I also use them. The paper quality is great - nice and thick, so most pens won't bleed through. They have wide and college ruled, unruled blank pages, and also have a grid graph option.

Chocolates.
I am allergic to dairy. Like anaphylactically allergic, since I was a baby. I've never had ice cream, pizza, cheese... and especially chocolates. A few brands have recently come out and I am very proud to share them with you all.
No Whey! Chocolates have a special place in my heart. They have fancy chocolate. I've never had fancy chocolate. I bought some of their fancy chocolate. ~Swoon~. Now I know why everyone loves fancy chocolate. They have so many other products too, like chocolate covered pretzels (ridiculously good!!), Smooches (their version of kisses), chocolate covered cherries, and so much more. Here's my Amazon link but, if you purchase from their site, you pay MUCH LESS in shipping.

Sakura Archival Micron Pen.
I'm a big fan of Sakura brand, from their gel pens to their Microns. These micron pens are great. The black is solid and the varying widths make drawing fun. I love their 005 tip. Super fine. It's fun to use.

Same chocolates as above, but these are in the heart shaped box. I have to say, that box shape makes a difference. They're dairy free, tree nut free, peanut free, gluten free, and soy free. Enjoy!!

This book saved me during Covid homeschooling. My daughter was in 2nd grade and was having a hard time with Core Math. I mean, whoever, came up with it should go back to school. I understand the premise, how it was derived, but seriously, it's a horrible way to teach math. After days of searching I came upon this book - and my daughter started enjoying math again! She's read it cover to cover on her own, many times. There's also a glossary to translate the "new verbage" for all us ol' folks to understand. highly recommend. And yes, that's Winne from the Wonder Years. She also has Youtube videos.
