I'm so happy you came for a visit.

I'm fascinated by dancing shadows, my kids drawings . . . by everything! I create abstract and geometric digital paintings; creative patterns; illustrations of monstrous construction vehicles, tools, machines and . . . anything that sparks my imagination. abstract

My abstract works are based on explorations of my surroundings. I experiment with color and texture to create compositions that inspire. These digital paintings are based on drawings created by myself, my children, or images I've taken while out in nature.

GEOMETRICS

I also like to create what I call "Geometricals." They all begin as hand-drawn musings some of which are then transformed digitally. I sometimes like to amuse myself and make recordings of these and post them on Youtube. My kids hijack them sometimes.

Tools + Machines

Now these guys are really fun to make. My kids love stopping at construction sites to see these behemoths at work. It's easy to see the awesomeness of these machines. And the closer you get the intricacies of what makes them work leaves you awestruck.

patterns

Creating patterns, especially repeating patterns, are incredibly satisfying, especially when drawn  by hand. It's such a magical process.

colorways

When I work I also create multiple colorways - color variations of the same piece. Some pieces love being transformed and in the end have different personalities. Other times I zoom into a piece, making it a completely different composition. For example, the piece below is all based on the first piece, but is transformed as the colors are varied and is zoomed into just a section.
